The Punjab Excise Department is making life easier for vehicle owners by eliminating the need to visit its office or stand in long queues for the registration and transfer of vehicles (motorcycles and cars).
The announcement was made on their social media handles, stating that a a new service is being introduced that will allow citizens in Punjab to register or transfer their vehicles without leaving their homes.
How to Use Punjab Excise Department’s Home Service:
- Call the Punjab Information Technology Board’s helpline 080008786 to schedule an appointment for the registration and transfer of your vehicle.
- An official from the Excise Department will come to your home at the scheduled time.
- You can pay the fee for the new registration or transfer of your vehicle through online banking. The department official will give you the payment slip ID (PSID) at your home.
- The registration number will be given to you at your home. Afterward, the documents will be scanned at the excise office and sent to you via Pakistan Post.
This new service from the Excise Department simplifies the often complicated process of vehicle registration and transfer, saving you precious time.
