The Punjab Services and General Administration Department has issued a notification banning Government Departments from hosting Iftar parties.
According to the details, the decision has been taken in view of the ongoing austerity drive to control the usage of public money through strict discipline.
Furthermore, the Government of Punjab has also banned presentation of official gifts / souvenirs to guests or delegations of the Government Department.
However, this restriction does not apply to foreign delegations.
