The Government of Punjab on Saturday announced its decision to lift restrictions on market timings ahead of Eid ul Adha 2022.
According the details, Chief Minister Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif, has announced the decision as an Eid Gift for the people and business community of the province.
“The ban on closing markets and bazaars across Punjab till 9pm has been lifted until Chand Raat.” the statement read, adding that the decision will take effect immediately.

It is pertinent to mention that Government of Punjab had announced a restriction on market timings and ordered businesses to close by 9pm in order to conserve energy amid the rising loadshedding being experienced throughout the country.
It must be noted that Eid ul Adha will be observed on July 10th (Sunday) across Pakistan.
