LAHORE: The Government of Punjab has decided to revise the ongoing lockdown restrictions addeding some new exceptions as the lockdown is relaxed and businesses allowed to open according to a notification issued by the Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department.
The decision comes after the National Coordination Committee (NCC) meeting earlier this week where it was decided to focus more on following the standard operating procedures (SOPs) but start to relax the lockown across the country.

The notification states sectors that are allowed to open while there are some businesses and sectors that are still restricted from operating as they pose the threat of spreading the coronavirus and following SOPs are nearly impossible for these specific sectors.
According to the notification the following are not allowed to open:
- All Educational and training institutions, Marriage halls, Business centers, Expo Halls. Restaurants (except takeaway 8 homedelivery), Theme / amusement parks, Play Areas and arcades, Beauty Parlors and Spas, Cinemas and Theaters shall remain closed.
- There shall be a complete ban on sporting tournaments / matches (indoor and outdoor) except non-contact professional sports without spectators. All contact sports & indoor sports clubs / facilities shall remain closed.
- There shall also be a complete ban on gatherings of all kinds for social, religious, or any other purpose at any place public or private.
These businesses are exempted and allowed to operate:
All business, factories, facilities, premises, retail shops, shopping malls, plazas are allowed to open except the list mentioned above. These businesses are allowed to operate but with certain restrictions and strict implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) from 9AM to 7PM from Monday to Friday:
