Punjab & KPK Calls Army Under Section 245

The Government of Pakistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has called in the army, under Article 245, to help the local administration and police in maintaining the law and order situation across the provinces.

A notification has been issued by the Ministry of Interior on the request of the Punjab Home Department requesting Pakistan Army, under Article 245, to be deployed to maintain the law and order situation across the province in aid of civil powers.

Similarly, the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has also issued a notification as it called in the Pakistan Army under Article 245 to help with the safety and security of citizens as well as Government installations.

It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman was arrested from the Islamabad High Court (IHC) yesterday by Rangers personnel, who followed the arrest warrant issued by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
