LAHORE: The Government of Punjab has placed a limit on business timings in Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi Districts to try and curb the rising number of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases.
According to a notification issued by the provincial healthcare department, the business timings in Punjab apply to all commercial activities, establishments and areas which have been ordered to close by 10pm.
This decision comes after yesterday’s meeting of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) which was chaired by Minister for Planning and Development to discuss the surge in coronavirus cases across the country.
However, there is an exception on essential services which are allowed to operate 24 hours a day throughout the week. These businesses include:
Furthermore, amusement and public parks across the province will operate from 7:00am till 6:00pm in order to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
