The Punjab government has temporarily relaxed the dress code for students, eliminating uniform restrictions, in both private and public schools and colleges during the winter season.
The Punjab Education Department has officially communicated this policy change to all schools. According to the department, students now have the flexibility to wear jackets or sweaters of their choice instead of strictly adhering to the schools’ dress code.
This policy adjustment is effective for the months of January and February, aligning with the winter vacation period from December 18 to January 1 in the province.
The decision to ease uniform restrictions for students in Punjab aims to alleviate the financial burden on parents and ensure students’ comfort during the cold weather. The announcement has garnered positive feedback from the public and education experts, acknowledging the government’s thoughtful decision.
