Gullu Butt goes to Jail for 11 years

LAHORE: The man caught on video breaking the screens of vehicles during the model town tragedy has been sentenced by an anti terrorism court (ATC) to 11 years in prison.

Gullu Butt has also been ordered to pay a fine of Rs 110,000 by the court.

Baton-wielding Gullu Butt was arrested after he was caught on cameras damaging several vehicles during a clash between Pakistan Awami Tehreek workers and police in Lahore’s Model Town on June 17.

The defense lawyer has vowed to challenge the verdict in the Lahore High Court.

Meanwhile, the convict has been shifted to Camp Jail.
