Justice For Zunera: Shot dead by husband in Lahore

LAHORE: Justice For Zunera – She fell victim to domestic violence. She was mercilessly shot dead by her husband in front of her mother and brothers.

The incident occurred in the Green Town area of Lahore where Zunera was shot dead in a case of Domestic violence.

The FIR is registered by the victim’s father but the cold-blooded husband is still at large after 30 hours of the incident.

Details as listed in FIR

As per details listed in the FIR which was registered by Zunera’s father, he said his daughter Zunera had been married to Asad Khaliq for four years.

Zunera was a victim of Domestic Violence and was frequently tortured by her husband.

According to her father, Zunera’s mother and her two brothers went to visit her at her residence two days before the incident.

On the day of the incident, they heard a quarrel between Zunera and Asad. They rushed to their room to find the husband pointing a gun towards his wife.

As soon as the brothers tried to cut in to protect their sister he opened fire on Zunera.

The accused husband Asad Khaliq ran away from the incident and is yet to be arrested.

Similar incident

In a similar domestic violence case, Sadaf Zehra was found hanged in her room by a ceiling fan. Her husband a journalist Ali Salman Alvi was accused of murder by the victim’s sister.

And as already anticipated the case given a new turn by the police and labeled it as a case of suicide.

Sadaf Zehra was also a victim of domestic violence. She was subjected to torture by her husband several times even being warned by her family.

The journalist Ali Salman Alvi was apprehended on July 8 from Islamabad.
