Lahore : Multiple blasts targeting Church

Lahore  : Two blasts targeting a Church and a nearby school killed ten people and injured at least 36 others in in Lahore’s Youhanabad area on Sunday.

Sources said blasts hit a Church and an adjacent school at a time when a ceremony was underway in the worship place.

Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan Jamaatul Ahrar (TTP-JA) claims responsibility for attacks.

PTV : State owned Television has confirmed 10 dead and over 60 injured , According to initial reports, it was a suicide blast. Rescue teams and security officials have reached the site of the blast. Youhanabad is the country’s biggest Christian locality, housing at least one million people.

There were atleast 75 people inside the church at the time of the bombing. The nature and intensity of the blasts are yet to be ascertained.

Emergency and security teams were dispatched to the site of explosion. The dead and injured were being taken to Lahore’s General Hospital.
