Pakistan Railways has decided to shutdown Shalimar Express due to the financial difficulties arising from the current economic conditions.
According to the details, the railway’s administration is facing a loss of Rs. 2 million every day.
Shalimar Express, which travels between Lahore and Karachi, was revived in May 2023 after eight months of closure.
Furthermore, Pakistan Railways had reconditioned 19 coaches to enhance facilities to passengers.
Previously, the train used to travel from Karachi to Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Rohri, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, Multan via Toba Tek Singh, Faisalabad, and Lahore.
