A Quetta blast involving a motorcycle that blew up has taken at least two lives with another 14 injured according to reports.
The incident occured on McConaghey Road which is close to Liaquat Bazar. According to reports, the motorcycle was parked near a Frontier Corps (FC) vehicle.
The number of dead or injured is expected to rise as the rescue operations are still on going. The injured have been moved to the Civil Hospital’s trauma wing according to Wasim Baig, a spokesperson for the Hospital.
The Chief Minister of Balochistan, Jam Kamal condemning the trafic incident said:
Cowardly terrorists once again seek to upend peace in the city as well as the province,
He ensured that the people behind this Quetta blast shall be brought to justice and peace will be established.
Chied Minister, Jam Kamal said that the best medical treatment is being given to the injured and expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the deceased.
According to CM Kamal more effective security measures will be put in place for the city to ensure that no terrorists can “act with impunity”.
