The Ramadan 2021 moon has been sighted in Pakistan and the first fast of the holy month of Ramazan ul Mubarak will be observed on 14 April 2021 (Wednesday), announced the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee on Tuesday.
The meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee was held today in Peshawar under the chairmanship of Maulana Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad for the sighting of the Ramadan 2021 moon in Pakistan.
It is pertinent to mention that this was the first Ramazan moon sighting to take place under the newly appointment chairman of the RHC, Maulana Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad, by the federal government in December 2020.
Previously, the position was held by Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman was for the past 27 years and presided over all moon sightings in the country.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department also said that there was a clear possibility of the Ramazan 2021 moon sighting in Pakistan on 13 April 2021 as the moon of the holy month was born at 7:32am last morning and will be visible for 35 hours.
