The Ramadan 2023 moon was sighted by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee and the Holy Month of Ramazan will now commence from Tomorrow, Thursday (23 March 2023).
The meeting of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee was chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad at the Auqaf Hall in Peshawar.
At the same time, the meetings of the zonal and district Ruet-e-Hilal committees were held at their respective headquarters.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had stated that chances of Ramadan 2023 moon being sighted are very low due to cloudy weather.
It stated that Ramadan moon could be sighted at around 7.28 pm in Karachi, while in Quetta, it stated that moon could be be sighted till 7.15 pm.
The Ramadan 2023 moon was sighted by the Central Committee and Ramadan will begin on Thursday (23 March 2023) in Pakistan.
