14-year-old raped by uncle dies during abortion in Okara

Justice for Uzma – A 14-year-old girl died during an abortion in Okara after she was raped by her uncle for months resulting in a pregnancy.

The 14-year-old Uzma went to live with her maternal aunt Sajida Bibi and uncle Ghulam Anwar after the young girl’s parents separated as a result of domestic quarrels.

According to reports, the 14-year-old old Uzma was raped regularly by her uncle Ghulam Anwar in Okara for a long period and the constant sexual abuse resulted in a pregnancy.

The horrific incident took place at Chak No. 5.4/L located near Okara and when Ghulam Anwar and his wife Sajida Bibi found out about the pregnancy, they both opted for an abortion which lead to the girl’s death.

The young girl was reportedly six months along her pregnancy at the time of abortion which resulted in further complication that event lead to Uzma’s death.

Police have arrested Ghulam Anwar and this wife Sajida Bibi while both accused are being charged with rape and murder. We demand Justice for Uzma and all those involved in her death should be provided with exemplary punishment.

The incident comes just days after the tragic death of two-year-old Zainab who was found raped and brutally murdered in Charsadda.
