Back story
The couple was arrested by police in 2019 for raping minor girls and filming their explicit videos to blackmail them.
According to the City Police Officer (CPO) Muhammad Faisal Rana, the couple had confessed to raping 45 minor girls and made their photographs and videos.
The police contacted victims of the couple but none of them were willing to come forward and record statements due to the social stigma.
However, the police was able to arrest the couple after a girl lodged a complaint with CPO Rawalpindi after she was kidnapped and raped the accused.
According to the details, the girl, who was a student of MSc at Allama Iqbal Open University, said in her statement that the couple lured her into their car and took her to a house where she was raped by the accused Qasim Jahangir while his wife, Kiran Mahmood, filmed the entire ordeal.
The girl stated that she was coming out of Gorden College, where she went to attend a workshop, when she met a masked woman who introduced herself as one of the students and started talking while both of them walked towards Tipu Sultan Road.
Soon the masked woman’s husband came in a car and both of them forced the young student into the car and took her to their house in Gulistan Colony where the man, Qasim Jahangir, raped her while his wife, Kiran Mahmood, filmed the heinous act.
The police at the time of the arrest recovered videos of 10 minor girls and thousands of nude photographs from the suspects’ custody. According to the CPO, the couple in question used to sell the explicit videos and pictures to adult websites for a large sum of money.
