Rawalpindi Muharram Processions 10th and 11th Muharram

Rawalpindi: Kalma Chowk will close on the 8th Muharram, with alternative routes via Harley Street and Ghousia Chowk.

On the 10th, Tench Bazaar’s procession will run from 9 AM to Maghrib, while two major processions will traverse significant routes from 7 AM to Isha prayer.

The 11th Muharram will see closures around Peshawar Road from 2 PM to Isha

10th Muharram

  • Location: Tench Bazaar
  • Time: 9 AM to Maghrib prayer
  • Route: Mughalabad, Abid Majeed Road, Ali Chowk, Kasai Chowk, Dispensary No. 22, Bakra Mandi
  • Alternate Routes: Kayani Road, Muhammad Khan Road, Tamizuddin Road, Harley Street Colony Road
• Procession 2:
  • Locations: Imam Bargah Yadgar Hussain and Bargah Colonel Maqbool Hussain
  • Time: 7 AM to Isha prayer
  • Route: 5th Road, Commercial Market, Asghar Mall Road, Kartarpura, Bani Chowk, Jamia to Hamilton Chowk, Nisanwala Chowk, Dingi Khoi, Old Fort, Committee Chowk, Alama Road, Masjid Chowk, Naya Mahalla Chowk, Fawara Chowk, Raja Bazar, Sarafa Bazar
  • Alternate Routes: Rawal Road, Murree Road, Syedpur Road, Railway Workshop Road (Inner Raja Bazaar will be closed for the entire day)

11th Muharram

• Date: 11th Muharram
• Location: Peshawar Road area
• Time: Starts at 2 PM, concludes at Isha prayer
• Details: Peshawar Road, ABL Street, Misrial Road, and Hali Road will remain closed for traffic.
