Former Interior Minister Rehman Malik has sent a defamation notice to the Pakistan based US Blogger Cynthia Ritchie over allegations of rape.
Rehman Malik strongly denies all allegations made by Cynthia Ritchie and says that the only reason she went after him was because of the fact that he stood against her regarding the tweet she made about the late Benazir Bhutto that was deemed derogatory in nature.
Malik also claims that he will expose the real faces behind the allegations at a later date saying that he has never bowed to pressure and he was certainly not going to start now.
The feud between Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Cynthia Ritchie has been going on ever since the her tweet regarding the late Benazir Bhutto but the situation escalated when she accused the former Interior Minister Rehman Malik of raping her along with naming the former Prime Minster Yousuf Raza Gilani and former Health Minister Makhdoom Shahabuddin for “physically manhandling” the blogger.
The blogger says that she has evidence for the allegations and statements she has been and will try her best to prove them in court. The claims the reason she is doing this is “for those who have been abused and shamed or threatened into silence.”
Cynthia Ritchie tweeted earlier about whether the former Interior Minister will be willing to take a polygraph test as she would certainly be willing to do it.
