The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque in Saudi Arabia has established specific entry and exit points for Umrah pilgrims at the Grand Mosque in Mecca during the holy month of Ramadan 2024.
This decision, made in anticipation of the increased Umrah activity during Ramadan, aims to streamline the movement of worshippers. Pilgrims undertaking Umrah will be directed to enter the Grand Mosque through designated gates, including King Abdul Aziz Gate, King Fahd Gate, Umrah Gate, and Al-Salam Gate, as well as specific ground floor doors.
Furthermore, various exits within the mosque premises, such as side crossings, stairways, and designated doors, have been assigned to ensure smooth traffic flow, with provisions for emergency situations in place. These measures are designed to enhance the pilgrimage experience for worshippers while prioritizing their safety and convenience.
