The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced a significant change, allowing anyone with a valid visa to easily perform Umrah. This announcement was made on the ministry’s official X account, stating that individuals with personal, family, transit, labor, and e-visas are now permitted to undertake the pilgrimage.
The ministry stated, “Arrivals from anywhere and with any visa can perform Umrah with ease and comfort.”
They emphasized that regardless of the visa type, Umrah is accessible to all. Furthermore, in order to facilitate the process, pilgrims are advised to use the Nusuk app to obtain an Umrah permit and follow designated timings for rituals at the Mecca Grand Mosque to avoid any inconvenience.
The Nusuk platform helps streamline various aspects, including accommodation arrangements, for Muslims planning to perform Umrah and visit Medina. These changes are part of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to provide relief to Muslims worldwide, including extending the Umrah visa duration, allowing entry via all ports, and removing the requirement for women pilgrims to be accompanied by male guardians.
