The Pakistani government has recently signed a significant agreement with the prominent construction firm in Saudi Arabia, NESMA & Partners, aimed at facilitating the export of skilled Pakistani labor to the Kingdom.
This collaborative effort is anticipated to unlock fresh avenues of employment for skilled Pakistani individuals, fostering economic growth in both nations and strengthening bilateral relations. NESMA & Partners, known for spearheading various mega-projects in Saudi Arabia, will play a pivotal role in providing job opportunities for Pakistani workers.
The agreement, orchestrated between the Pakistan Overseas Employment Corporation (POEC) and NESMA & Partners, signifies a concerted effort to streamline the recruitment and deployment processes for Pakistani nationals working abroad, with POEC serving as the government’s representative.
The formal signing of the agreement took place at the Embassy of Pakistan in Riyadh, witnessed by key dignitaries, including the Ambassador of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia, Ahmad Farooq, the Director-General of the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE), and the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, alongside other officials.
Addressing the ceremony, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Jawad Sohrab Malik, extended gratitude to the Saudi company for its role in providing employment opportunities for Pakistani nationals, marking a positive stride in the collaboration between the two nations.
