ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has declared the presidential reference against Justice Qazi Faez Isa as void accept the petition filed by him seeking the dismissal of the reference.
The proceedings against Justice Qazi Faez Isa were initiated against him on allegations of non disclosure of three properties in London that acquired on the name of his wife and children between 2011 and 2015.
However, the case was closed today after the wife of Justice Isa provided all money trail leading up to the London properties

The petition by Justice Qazi Isa said that the Asset Recovery Unit (ARU) had no legal standing and all actions taken by the ARU against him were illegal as there was no proper research over the properties and all information was obtained from online sources.
Former Attorney General Irfan Qadir told Geo News that the case was just a result of misunderstanding and nothing more since it involved properties that were not declared and some people thought that it was an act of misconduct.
However, after the wife of Justice Qazi Faez Isa proved that her husband had no link to the London properties the case was dropped and the reference became void.
