Search Continues For Missing Teenager Dua Zehra Kazmi

The police continue their search for Dua Zehra Kazmi, a 14-year-old girl who went missing from Al Falah area of Karachi on 16th April 2022. Dua Zehra Kazmi went missing over a week ago after she stepped out of her home to dispose of garbage but never returned.

The father of the missing girl said that they lived on the first floor, explaining that his daughter had gone to the ground floor to throw away the trash, but she never returned after which he filed a police complaint. However, the police are still searching for Dua Zehra Kazmi and they have raided several places in the city and inner Sindh.

According to the details. the police on Thursday carried out a raid in Sanghar for the recovery of the 14-year-old girl, but they found another girl who was forcefully kept there. “The raid was carried out on secret information regarding presence of Dua Zehra,” said the authorities, adding that they will record the statement from the girl found during the Sanghar raid.

Taking the statement of the girl found during the raid, she claimed to have left home voluntarily and she knew nothing about Dua Zehra Kazmi.

Father Receive Ransom Call

Furthermore, the father of Dua Zehra Kazmi reportedly received two ransom calls from the people allegedly abducted the girl from Shah Faisal Colony in Karachi. “One of the call was made from a telephone number while the another one was made from WhatsApp,” he told the police.

“I do not have enmity with anyone and even my daughter was not going to school for the last one and a half year,” he said while providing the details of the ransom call to the police. Meanwhile, a team of the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) has also met with the father of Dua Zehra.

According to the details, there have been three teams formed and working on obtaining the CCTV footage to trace the suspects and recover the 14-year-old girl.
