A disturbing incident occurred aboard SereneAir flight ER540 (UET-ISB) on March 18, 2025, when a passenger, Saima Jogezai, allegedly caused chaos before takeoff.
According to reports, Saima Jogezai and her father, Iftikhar Jogezai, were traveling on the flight when Saima allegedly misbehaved with the airline’s check-in staff while appearing intoxicated. She reportedly obstructed other passengers before boarding.
Once on the aircraft, the situation escalated as both passengers allegedly insulted and verbally abused the cabin crew while being guided to their seats. As the plane prepared for takeoff, Saima stood up, shouted profanities, and threatened the crew, prompting the captain to abort takeoff and return to the gate.
While Iftikhar Jogezai disembarked, Saima refused to leave, further delaying the flight. Upon finally exiting, she attacked a female cabin crew member, breaking her nose and teeth.
The Airport Security Force (ASF) swiftly intervened, arresting both individuals while the injured crew member was rushed to the hospital.
Currently, the Jogezais remain in ASF custody, though reports suggest official pressure on authorities to release them. This incident has sparked outrage, with many demanding strict legal action to protect airline staff from passenger misconduct.
