Several people, including two children, have been killed due to heavy rain in Karachi on Wednesday.
According to the details, two children, including a boy and a girl, were killed as a wall collapsed in Karachi’s Millat Town, while two more people lost their lives in Chanesar Goth.
Heavy rain was witnessed in most parts of Karachi causing power outages and flooded roads in the metropolis.
The heavy rainfall caused walls of several shops to collapse, while people commuting via motorcycles were injured in road accidents.
The rescue officials said that two more bodies have been found at Burns Road and Mahmoodabad area of the metropolis. “The bodies have been shifted to hospital for post-mortem,” they said, adding that cause of death of both persons could not be ascertained.
Meanwhile, there have been power outages in several parts of Karachi after the heavy rain and K-Electric has asked people to use electric appliances with caution during this weather.
