In a tragic incident, a fire at RJ Shopping Mall in Karachi at Rashid Minhas Road has taken the lives of 11 people while dozens were injured.
According to the details, most of the deaths were caused by suffocation and burns, while many people were injured as they fell from stairs during the evacuation process and others received burn injuries.
Furthermore, there were seven people that were recovered in an unconscious state due to suffocation and shifted to hospital in a critical condition.
Based on reports, the fire at Karachi’s RJ Shopping Mall was reported to fire and rescue officials around 6:30 and it was completely extinguished by 12:30 pm, as confirmed by Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab.

The Chief Fire Officer, Ishtiaq Ahmed told a media outlet that 45 people were recued from the shopping mall and there was no fire fighting system or alarm in the building. He added that fire started at the second floor of the RJ Shopping Mall and reached till the sixth floor.
