The Sindh High Court (SHC) has ordered authorities to ensure a complete ban on the sale of Gutka and similar products across the province of Sindh.
According to the details, the SHC announced the decision during the hearing of a petition in Karachi regarding the ban on sale of Gutka and similar products across the province.
The hearing was attended by DIG special Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Police Special Branch, and DIG Hyderabad.
The Sindh High Court (SHC) adjourned the hearing of the case until October 29.
In the last hearing, the SHC had directed authorities to finalize the list of police personnel involved in running unlawful businesses of contraband items and ordered strict action against them.
The court added that details of properties owned by police personnel involved in sale of Gutka and Mawa should be presented before the court.
In the end, the court ordered to take help from Sindh Rangers to combat sale of Gutka and similar products across the province.
