The Government of Sindh has announced a holiday for all schools and colleges across the province on April 18, 2023 (Tuesday).
According to the details, all educational institutions that include schools and colleges in the Province of Sindh will remain closed on 18 April 2023 (Tuesday) on account of Shab-e-Qadar (27 Ramadan).
Furthermore, a notification has been issued by the Sindh’s School Education and Literacy Department (SELD) and College Education Department.
“All the Government and Private Educational Institutions, under the administration of School Education and Literacy Department, Government of Sindh shall remain closed on Tuesday 18th April, 2023, on account of Shab-e-Qadar (27th Ramadan, 1444).” said the notification issued by SELD in Sindh.
Meanwhile, the College Education Department in Sindh has also issued a notification, “All the Public and Private Educational Institutions under the administrative control of College Education Department shall remain closed on Tuesday, 18th April, 2023 on account of Shab-e-Qadar (27th Ramzan, 1444).”
Moreover, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee (RHC) is all set to meet on April 20 (29 Ramadan) for the Shawwal moon sighting. However, the Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council (RHRC) has stated that chances of the crescent sighting are very low on April 20 and Ramadan is likely to complete 30 days this year.
It means that Eid-ul-Fitr 2023 is expected to fall on April 22.

Additionally, the Government has announced five public holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr 2023.
