The Government of Sindh has announced a public holiday on 25 December 2023 (Monday) for Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas.
In a notification issued by the Services, General Administration & Coordination Department, it was stated, “The Government of Sindh hereby declares 25th December, 2023 (Monday) as a Public Holiday on the occasion of Quaid-Azam Day / Christmas, for all Officers / Autonomous Bodies / Semi-Autonomous Bodies, Corporations, and Local Councils under the administrative control of the Government of Sindh, except those engaged in essential services.”

While it isn’t mentioned in the notification, there will also be a holiday on 26 December 2023 for the ‘Day After Christmas’ for the Christian community as approved by the Cabinet Division in circular ‘F.No 10-2/2022-Min-II’ titled, “Public and Optional Holidays for the Year 2023.”

Furthermore, the Federal and other Provincial Governments are expected to follow Sindh and announce public holidays for Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas any time now.
