The Government of Sindh has declared a public holiday on 25 December 2024 (Wednesday) in observance of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas.
According to a notification issued by the Services, General Administration & Coordination Department, the holiday applies to all officers, autonomous Bodies, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under the administrative control of the Government of Sindh, excluding those engaged in essential services.
The notification stated: “The Government of Sindh hereby declares 25th December, 2024, Wednesday as a public holiday on the occasion of Quaid-Azam Day/Christmas for all officers, autonomous bodies, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under the administrative control of the Government of Sindh, except those engaged in essential services.”
Additionally, it is anticipated that the Federal and other Provincial Governments will follow Sindh’s lead and announce similar public holidays for Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas in the near future.
