Sindh’s Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, made a significant announcement regarding the Ramadan relief package valued at Rs 22 billion that will provide Rs 5,000 cash assistance to alleviate the hardships faced by the province’s residents.
Chairing a meeting in Karachi this morning to discuss price control, he also sanctioned the provision of Rs 5,000 cash to 60 percent of the province’s population earning the minimum wage.
This cash aid will benefit 3.5 million households earning a minimum wage of Rs 32,000 per month.
Syed Murad Ali Shah instructed district authorities to ensure the enforcement of government-set prices for everyday commodities.
Additionally, he mandated that there should be no power cuts during Sehr and Iftar throughout the province.
It is pertinent to mention that Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz has also announced the Ramazan Nigehban package, providing ration bags to needy people in the province.
