The Government of Sindh has announced a subsidy of Rs. 2,000 flour subsidy for deserving families across the province as part of the province’s Ramadan Relief Package via the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).
According to the Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, the Provincial Cabinet has approved the Ramadan Relief Package worth Rs. 15.6 billion for 7,810,482 low-income families registered with the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).
Under the Sindh’s Ramadan Relief Package, these low-income families will be allowed to buy Rs. 30 kilogram (kg) flour at Rs. 65 per kg through the subsidy of Rs. 2,000 that will be provided during the month of Ramadan.
As for those not registered with the Benazir Income Support Program and believe they deserve to be on the list should contact the nearest field office and submit their information. He added that a BISP office is set up at every Tehsil in the province.
Once you submit your information to BISP, you will receive a confirmation about your eligibility by next working day.
It is pertinent to mention that Ramadan Relief Package has been announced by all other provinces and the Federal Capital for the Holy Month. However, every other province is giving its citizens three free bags of wheat flour instead of cash stipend like the Sindh Government.
