The Government of Sindh has officially announced March 13 and 14, 2025 (Thursday & Friday) as public holidays for the Hindu community on the occasion of Holi and Dulhandi.
According to the notification issued by the Services, General Administration & Coordination Department (SGA&CD), the holidays will apply to all offices, autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under the administrative control of the Sindh Government.
The notification, signed by Chief Secretary Sindh, Asif Hyder Shah, highlights that these holidays are exclusively for the Hindu community to celebrate their religious festival peacefully.
Copies of this notification have been forwarded to all concerned departments, including federal and provincial offices, judiciary, public service commission, and the Pakistan Hindu Council.
This announcement reflects Sindh Government’s commitment to honoring and respecting the cultural and religious diversity of the province.
