KARACHI: The Government of Sindh has announced six-day Eid Holidays 22 to 27 May, 2020 on the occasion of Holy Festival Eid-Ul-Fitr according to the notification issued by Services, General Administration & Coordination Department on Tuesday.

Notification state “The Government of Sindh has been pleased to declare 22nd to 27th May 2020 (Friday to Wednesday) as Public Holidays on the occasion of Holy Festival of Eid-Ul-Fitr 2020 throughout the province of Sindh for all Government Offices, Autonomous, Semi-Autonomous Bodies, Corporation and Local Council under Administrative Control of Government of Sindh, except essential services and the departments and offices engaged in prevention and control of Coronavirus emergency.”
Earlier, The Federal Government issued the notification of the Public Holidays on Holy festival of Eid-Ul-Fitr.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet on 23 May 2020 under chairman Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman for the Shawwal moon sighting according to a spokesperson of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Eid-Ul-Fitr is expected on 25th May,2020 (Monday) however the final deicisoin will be taken after Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meets on 23rd May, 2020.
