KARACHI: The Sindh Health Department has requested the government to impose a micro smart lockdown at designated areas in Karachi and ensure implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
In a letter addressed to the deputy commissioners and senior police officials in Karachi, the Sindh health department mentions an increase in the coronavirus cases being reported.
It further asks the authorities to ensure event stricter implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and impose micro smart lockdown at designated areas of Karachi in consultation with District Health Officers.
According to the Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, a total of 400 cases have been reported on Tuesday out of which 297 of them are from Karachi.
It is pertinent to mention that educational institutions have been fully opened in Sindh despite warnings from health officials and the constant rise in coronavirus cases.
