The 16-year-old girl, Nimra Kazmi, who had gone missing from Karachi shortly after 14-year-old Dua Zehra, has been recovered from Dera Ghazi Khan (DG Khan), the police confirmed on Monday. According to the details, Nimra Kazmi had left home on her own and married a boy, Shah Rukh, who is a resident of DG Khan. The police have obtained the Nikahnama (marriage certificate), which is being verified by the authorities.
Nimra Kazmi had gone missing from her home in the Saudabad S-1 area of Malir Town in Karachi after which the parents of the 16-year-old girl launched a missing person’s report with the police. According to the report, the girl’s mother said that she went outside her residence at 9:00am on April 20 and later found that Nimra Kazmi had gone missing.
She expressed suspicion that her daughter was kidnapped by someone and requested Chief Minister Sindh, Murad Ali Shah, and Inspector-General (IG) along with concerned authorities to take immediate action for the safe and timely recovery for her daughter.
The mother also informed the police that her daughter, Nimra Kazmi, had a mobile phone on her but did not respond to any of the calls. However, the police has recovered Nimra Kazmi, who has shared a video statement confirming that she wasn’t kidnapped but left home herself to marry a boy.
