Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah did not participate in PM CJ Dam fundraising event hosted in Governor House Sindh.
It is said that Mr.Shah shared his personal and Party’s reservations with Prime Minister Imran Khan on Dams construction on Indus River.
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah himself is a civil engineer and argued on big numbers of dams in China and India has not been able to resolve the issue and why water-staved Kingdom of Saudia Arabia did not have dams?
Pakistan Peoples Party’s MPA Mr.Taimur Talpur submits a resolution in Sindh assembly yesterday against the construction of Kalabagh dam.
It appears that People of Sindh are not happy with Dams construction instead proper management of water and conservation and underground storage capacity should be enhanced.
According to the experts, Diamer Basha Dam will not resolve, Karachi’s water crisis issue. Instead, Government should look for better, rapid and solid solutions.
Does Pakistan Really need More Dams?
Dr. Hassan Abbass, Ph.D. in Hydrology and Water Resources from Michigan State University explains.
Dams construction issue is becoming controversial in Sindh specially on Kalabagh Dam ( Sindh and KPK ) have the same reservations.
Please don’t blame the people of sindh for being not interested in dams….. its the political and nationalist leadership of sindh who is displaying a negative attitude against the dams.. they have received a heavy price for opposing the dam, with a purpose to serve the interest of the enemies of Pakistan…thewy have no interest in providing water to the sindhees living at the tail end indus river i.e Thattha Sangharh,Badeen and the whole of Thar….Earlier they were opposing Kalabagh dam due to their antipathy against Punjab ,but now even the Bhasha -Diamer and Mohmand Dams are pricking their eyes…They need article 6
