KARACHI: Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a notification to relevant departments informing them about Hot weather likely to prevail in Karachi from May 1st to May 3rd, 2019.
The Heatwave in Karachi is expected from May 1st to May 3rd, 2019. Met Office has already issued an alert.
Heatwave alert in Karachi, emergency declared in KMC hospitals. All the 13 health facilities under KMC management were put on high alert to address any untoward situation in Karachi – Pakistan Met office has issued a warning that a heatwave is likely to grip the Karachi city during 1 – 3 May 2019.
Meanwhile, the Sindh Government has taken precautionary measures by placing, Water coolers on various main roads, Emergency medical camps have been set up.

The Government of Sindh is prepared to curb the Heatwave in Karachi, However, the actual challenge is for the cities like Hyderabad, Sukkur, Nawabshah, Larkana, Dadu, Thatta, Shikarpur and Jacobabad.
Where local administration and Government Sindh where no precautionary measures nor camps are set up.
Even Sindh Government did not mentioned other cities in the notification, overcome the deadly heatwave.
The Hot and dry weather in various cities of Sindh has already claimed 15 lives last week.
Hyderabad 42C and Sukkur 43C feel like 46C today (Monday) which is expected to rise as the month of May Starts.
