KARACHI: Four people were shot dead in different parts of the city on Tuesday.
A 60-year-old man, Muhammad Yaseen was gunned down by unidentified armed men in Ghazi Town, Malir, within the limits of Malir City police station.
The body was moved to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.
Malir City police said the incident was reported to them in the wee hours of Tuesday. Police have registered an FIR number 257/2013 under section 302 against the unknown assailants. Further investigation was underway, police said.
Separately, a man, whose identity could not be ascertained yet, was shot dead by unknown assailants near a garbage dumping point of Lyari General Hospital in the wee hours of Tuesday, said Chhipa sources.
The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for an autopsy.
Similarly, two people were gunned down by unidentified armed men near Orangi 11/1-2, within the precincts of Pakistan Bazaar police station
The victims were identified as Ayaz 35, son of Ziauddin, and Shahid 50, son of Kram Elahi. The bodies were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for postmortems. (PPI)
