A six month old baby diagnosed with coronavirus in Singapore today bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 28, making it the second highest number of confirmed outside of China with Japan at the top.
According to reports, both the parents of the baby were also diagnosed with the virus with many other cases that have been confirmed of people who did not recently travel to China.
Based on sources the number of deaths is now 490 globally with as many as 24,324 infected while this number keeps rising on a daily basis.

As many as 65 people died just on Tuesday alone and 3,887 new cases were reported globally.
Although there are reports of people recovering from the deadly coronavirus in China as well. On Tuesday, it was reported that 262 people were discharged from hospitals around China after recovering from the virus.
Hubei province in China has seen the worst of this coronavirus with the majority of 479 deaths out of a total 490 globally have been reported there with the number of infected at 16,678.
There have been reports by media and online news outlets of vaccines or cures getting ready and being worked on that seemed promising although the World Health Organization (WHO) has played down all these reports saying that there are no affective “therapeutics” againts the 2019-nCoV strain.
WHO said in a statement:
There are no known effective therapeutics against this 2019-nCoV and WHO recommends enrollment into a randomized controlled trial to test efficacy and safety,
also saying:
A master global clinical trial protocol for research and prioritization of therapeutics is ongoing at the WHO.
