LAHORE: Punjab shopping malls have opened with certain instructions issued by the Government of Punjab following the orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
The Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department of Punjab has issued a notification regarding the opening of shopping malls and plazas in Punjab on the condition that standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the department are strictly followed.
Based on the notification there is still a restriction of the certain areas of shopping malls and these include the food courts, restaurants, cinemas and play areas situated in the shopping mall premises and are not allowed to open.
Following the orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and the Chief Justice of Pakistan Gulzar Ahmed, earlier restrictions of opening of businesses on weekends have also been lifted and shops, markets and malls can remain open all week throughout the remainder of Ramazan.
