The Regional Meteorological Department in Lahore has predicted heavy snowfall in Murree, while the weather in Islamabad, Lahore and most other cities of Punjab province is expected to remain cold and partly cloudy on Monday and Tuesday.
According to the weather update, a westerly wave is affecting western and upper parts of the country and likely to persist in upper parts for next few days.
Under the weather system, we can expect cold and partly cloudy weather in most districts of the province on Monday night. Furthermore, there are changes of light snowfall over the mountains in Kashmir, Murree, Galliyat, and surrounding areas. Furthermore, it is expected that cold and partly cloudy weather will prevail in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Sheikhupura, Lahore, Sahiwal, Okara, Khanpur, Multan, Rahimyar Khan and surrounding areas.
There are changes of shallow to moderate fog in these areas as well.
As for Tuesday, we can expect old weather in most districts of the province, while partly cloudy in upper districts. Meanwhile, there are chances of rain (snowfall over mountains) in Kashmir, Rawalpindi / Islamabad, Murree, and Galliyat. Furthermore, rain is likely in Attock, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal and Lahore.
Shallow to moderate fog is likely to persist in Bahawalpur, Sheikhupura, Sahiwal, Okara, Kasur, Lahore, Jhang, Sargodha, Toba Tek Singh, Khanewal, Multan, Khanpur, Rahimyar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan and surrounding during morning hours.
