The Sindh government on Monday took strict actions against schools in Karachi suspending their registrations for remaining open despite orders which stated that all educational institutions will remain closed in the province amid the recent coronavirus cases that emerged in Pakistan.
Schools were raided in different areas of the Karachi that include Landhi, Korangi, Lyari, Gulshan-e-Hadeed and more under orders of the Director General Private Institutions Dr. Mansoob Hassan.
The government announced that educational institutions will remain closed from March 2 to March 13, 2020 taking into consideration of the new coronavirus cases that emerged in Pakistan.

Earlier there were orders to close schools, colleges and universities from 27 February to 2 March 2020 however since new cases emerged, decision was taken to extend this period.
The decision was taken so that the isolation period of the suspected patient could come full term and there is confirmation about their condition.
The decision to close all educational institutions was taken in a meeting presided by the Chief Miniter Sindh Murad Ali Shah however, many schools disobeyed the orders and remained opened.
