In a tragic incident, a student has been shot dead at a coaching center after a youth opened fire at the premises located in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal area.
According to the details, the victim has been identified as Ehsan Akhtar, while the shooter’s name is Luqman, who reportedly used an AK-47 semi-automatic rifle.
Based on reports, the firing incident took place at a coaching center located at Gulshan-e-Iqbal in Karachi and left one student, Ehsan Akram, seriously injured as a result.
The student succumbed to his wounds after being shifted to the Civil Hospital in critical condition.
According to Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) East Tariq Mastoi, who arrived at the crime scene, the two students, Ehsan Akram (victim) and Luqman (shooter) had fight at the coaching center a few days ago and the administration settled the issue.
He added that police will arrest Luqman, who also studied at the same coaching center, soon.
Ehsan Akhtar, whose father owns a small vegetable cart, was reportedly the youngest of five siblings and used to work as a tutor in his spare time. Meanwhile, Akhtar’s paternal uncle has demanded the authorities to immediately arrest the accused and provide justice.
