Three more retired officers of the Pakistan Army have been arrested on charges related to violations of military discipline. This action was confirmed by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday.
According to the military’s public relations wing, these retired officers are being held in connection with the ongoing court-martial proceedings against former ISI chief, Lt. General (retired) Faiz Hameed.

The ISPR disclosed that further investigations are being conducted into the involvement of other retired officers and their associates.
These investigations aim to uncover any attempts to destabilize the country, allegedly carried out in collaboration with vested political interests.
Sources have identified the names of the three arrested officers, including two brigadiers and a colonel. Among them, Brigadier Ghaffar and Brigadier Naeem were singled out. It is alleged that these officers acted as intermediaries, facilitating communication between a political party and Lt. Gen. (retd) Faiz Hameed.
The sources also noted that the two retired brigadiers, who hail from Chakwal, were known to be close to Faiz Hameed, often referred to as his “favorites.”
This arrest follows the earlier detention of the former ISI chief, Lt. Gen. (retd) Faiz Hameed, on August 13. The Pakistan Army’s media wing had announced that court-martial proceedings had been initiated against him. The ISPR revealed that a detailed court of inquiry was conducted as per the orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan to investigate complaints in the Top City Case against Lt. Gen. Faiz Hameed (Retd). Based on the findings, appropriate disciplinary actions have been undertaken against him under the provisions of the Pakistan Army Act.
This case continues to unfold, with more developments expected in the coming days as the investigation progresses.
