The PPP Long March will move from Lahore to Islamabad, therefore, the following traffic update is provided to help commuters plan their travel and avoid any inconvenience.
The PPP leaders will hold public gathering at Nasir Bagh in Lower Mall Road area of Lahore on Sunday as part of their Long March before moving towards Islamabad, therefore, it is recommended to follow the traffic update and avoid all roads leading towards Nasir Bagh as they have been already closed by the authorities for routine traffic operations.
The PPP long March is scheduled to reach Wazirabad tonight via G.T Road & will enter Rawalpindi and Islamabad on 8th March 2022. You are advised to avoid G.T Road for traveling between Lahore & Islamabad for the next 24-48 hours due to the PPP Long March.
Organizations are also requested to plan business transport, logistics, and goods deliveries accordingly to avoid any inconvenience.
Commuters may also face long delays at Motorway (M2) interchanges and toll plazas, therefore, it is recommended to plan your travel routes and time accordingly.
It is pertinent to mention that situation for Islamabad & Rawalpindi will be assessed tomorrow as the PPP Long March reaches the twin cities and update will be issued accordingly.
PPP will camp near Rawat T Chowk before moving further toward Rawalpindi. According to the sources, there will be a base camp set up at Rawat T Chowk to accommodate 50,000 participant in the PPP Long March.
