Tragic Bus Plunge Claims Lives in Washuk District

In a devastating incident on Wednesday, a passenger bus plunged into a deep ravine in Washuk District, resulting in the loss of at least 28 precious lives, including women and children. The tragic accident left 20 others injured, underscoring the dire need for improved road safety measures in the region.

According to Assistant Commissioner Basima Ismail Mengal, the bus was carrying 48 passengers, including the driver and two conductors, on its journey from Turbat to Quetta. The impact of the fall was catastrophic, claiming the lives of numerous individuals and leaving many others critically injured.

Immediate rescue efforts were initiated, and the injured were swiftly transported to nearby hospitals for emergency treatment. However, the grim task of identifying the deceased remains ongoing at the Civil Hospital in Basima, where the bodies were initially taken.
