Pakistan Railways Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Amir Ali Baloch confirmed to Dawn that the hours-long stoppage of the Quetta-bound Bolan Mail at Jacobabad railway station was due to security reasons, as train operations were not allowed in Balochistan during night-time.
The Bolan Mail (3UP) Quetta-bound train was stopped at Jacobabad railway station on Sunday due to security reasons.
Pakistan Railways officials stated that the train arrived in Jacobabad from Karachi shortly after midnight. There, the concerned authorities instructed the station master to hold the train at the station and not allow it to continue toward Quetta until security clearance was granted.
