ISLAMABAD: Two tragic accidents occurred on the second day of Eid in Islamabad, raising concerns over reckless driving and road safety in the capital.
Earlier at 10:15 PM, another accident near Islamabad Club caused a severe traffic jam. Reports suggest the crash resulted from overspeeding. Emergency responders, including ambulances, arrived at the scene to assist those affected.
At 12:15 AM, an accident was reported near G-8 pull towards Islamabad Expressway, where underage boys driving a Honda BRV (AZZ-258) at high speed fatally struck a motorcyclist.
The victim died on the spot, while the boys fled the scene.
Authorities are investigating the incident and attempting to trace the vehicle’s occupants.
Both accidents highlight the growing issue of reckless driving, especially among underage and overspeeding motorists.
