The condition to bring CNIC to avail subsidy at Utility Stores has been withdrawn on Tuesday. According to the details, the decision was made to facilitate citizens and make it convenient for them to buy government-subsidized products.
However, your CNIC is still required to purchase flour, sugar, and ghee from Utility Stores.
It is pertinent to mention that the government has launched a Rs. 5 billion Ramazan Relief Package across the country to provide some form of relief to the inflation burdened population.
Under the Ramadan Relief Package, the Government is providing three free bags of wheat flour to the deserving families during the month of Ramazan.
Later, the Prime Minister increased the number of subsidized items under the Ramadan Relief Package to 19 in order to provide more relief to the citizens.
These items include flour, ghee, sugar, cooking oil, tea, dates, besan, dal mash, dal mong, milk, drinks, and spices.
